"would you not like to be, sitting on top of the world with your legs hanging free"
-dave mathews
that is from one of my all-time favorite songs. there isn't much to the lyrics, just a few more lines and then five minutes of music. but it is that small number of words that i love so much.
thanksgiving was wonderful. we spent the entire time in macon with my family. while i was there i felt, i think terry and i both felt, life becoming simple. we were able to hang our legs free, in the comfort of home. there was a lot of laughter, a few tears, some beautiful pictures, a little sunshine, tons of rain, and more than anything, the never ending feeling of safety and security. that is what gets me...it is when you feel completely safe and secure you are able to be free...to sit on top of your world and bask in the sweetness of life.
so, this thanksgiving was completely uneventful but thoroughly filling...in every since of the word.
