lovely friends and good advice

addison-163
another good day.  a ton of work was accomplished at the day job and then some good laughs were had around a table with some lovely ladies.  it has been those wednesday (or thursday) nights over the past two years, with those families, around their tables, that have made this place a home.  what once was only little evynne is now a house full of kiddos.  there are squeals and laughter, singing and a little crying.  guys in one room and girls in another.  friendships are made, jokes are told and stories are shared.

tonight we shared about disciplining our children and how that makes us feel as parents.  i struggle with this so much.  am i disciplining too little or too much? should i spank more or do time out? am i consistent enough? is addison even getting the message that comes with punishment? i have to remember they are children, they are sinners, and they are learning their boundaries.

all this to say, these precious ladies made me feel more confident in this life as a parent.  i don't seem to be alone on this endless road.  it is comforting to hear their stories, understand their struggles, and get their pointers and tips.  thank you ladies! i love you dearly!

48 hour countdown to the beaches of 30A.  i think i need to start packing and stop blogging.

no! Keep blogging! It's so nice to have you back . . . on the blog and at my table! Think of all the good advice you've been missing out on . . . HA! We're all learning together and it really is so nice to have other moms/parents in the same place to talk to about it. You're doing a great job. Addison is a sweetie!
