i have said it before and still say it with my own child - i don't like sticky kids. and i have one. at least i did this week. i have avoided and i mean seriously ran-for-the-hills avoided giving up the spoon for addison's control. but i did. and it wasn't pretty. it was sticky...and i cringed the entire time.
just like kids, sometimes this life is sticky. but i have found that often times in order to get the sweet stuff, you have to get messy - you have to get "sticky". in order for addison to taste the yummy yogurt she had to wear it from head to toe. in order for us to enjoy our yard and new fence, terry has to dig 22 holes in rock hard dirt. in order for me to stand in pride at a completed project i have to work long days and late nights. but in every single one of these instances the rewards are so so sweet...despite the sticky-ness.
so on this gorgeous friday, i hope your week of sticky-ness ends and a sweetness begins. have a weekend of sleeping late and being lazy. a weekend of laughter and good memories. a weekend of relaxation and rest. and more than anything, have a weekend of just good ole fun.

You are SUCH a fluffy feeler. And I love it! You crack me up! I'm not all about the sticky either, but just keep up with the bibs and wet paper towels and she'll be good as new (most of the time!)
