Shan: “You need some bottles. Terry, Scan these.”
Shan: “You need some nipples. Scan size 1, Terry. And size 2 and 3.”
Terry: “Why do we need all those sizes”
Shan: “You just do.”
Terry: “I heard we really needed a warmer for baby wipes.”
Shan: “Nope.”
Terry: “Ok.”
I have no idea what in the heck Terry scanned but we did hit the high points. I think we got a car seat and a stroller, bottles – we definitely did bottles, and pacifiers - we got some of those, a pack and play – it looks a little fancy but everyone says we need it, and lots of other stuff that scare me…seriously. We finally made our way to the fun part – CLOTHES!!! They are so cute! Some ruffles here and polka dots there…it was too much fun! For a few minutes we all stop to chat, making plans for later that night. I look to find Terry and guess where he is…at the SHOES. He has this little mischievous grin on his face and he is holding something in his hand. We all are wondering what it is that he has found – what has made this new daddy so excited? Slowly he turns around and shares with us his new favorite item…

Oh, Terry is a happy man...he might not be passing on the last name with our first born, but he is teaching her the love of a good shoe. So yes, we registered, and to Terry those two hours of bottles and strollers were worth ever minute for that one special scan - his baby girl's first pair of Nikes.
